National Novel Writing Month

I've--maybe regrettably--accepted a challenge. The month of November is National Novel Writing Month. The challenge--write 50,000 words in 30 days. I think I might be slightly crazy to even consider this, but how do you know you can do something until you try, right?

So, I shall try :) and pray I survive.

Loved--Love Finds You in Wildrose, ND

I've lost count of how many Love Finds You books I've read. I'm thinking at least a half dozen, but everyone of them have been great reads. Tracey Bateman's Love Finds You in Wildrose, North Dakota is no different. This was a wonderful story of a strong-willed, often outspoken woman who goes to ND after her father passes to live with her twin sister, only to find a fresh grave, a heartbroken brother-in-law and an underfed niece. You'll love this story full of excitement and twists.

Sad Second Try--A Texan's Honor

True to my word, I gave Shelly Gray a second try by reading her book A Texan's Honor. Although she had a great premise and no sagging middle, I'm sad to say I will never be reading her novels again. In her efforts to make her outlaws realistic, she chose vocabulary that I don't repeat. She also inserted a teaching not backed by Scripture. When I reached that point, I skimmed the last of the book and deleted it from my kindle.
